90 degrees. That's what it is currently down here and that's just the beginning of what I have to look forward to from here on until the end of October.
We met a man named Dharquintium. He's a super nice guy and wants to
know more about our religion. I just really enjoy his name 😄
This week Elder Peterson and I hit the Standards of Excellence for the
4th week in a row! We're killing it and it's so exciting to be apart
of this work! There is always room for improvement though and I plan
on continually bettering myself. I love that I have this opportunity
to become a better person. I am able to build drive, desire, and
planning abilities that I didn't have before. I wouldn't be able to do
any of this without prayer as well. I have become incredibly reliant
on prayer. I do the best I can and Heavenly Father truly makes up the
rest. It's amazing to see his hand in my life and the lives of others.
I love being a missionary!
Story for the week. We got a new investigator last week. We contacted
her this week to have a lesson and she told us that she isn't
interested anymore. We asked why. She informed us that her friend, who
introduced us and where we were going to have the lesson, is no longer
her friend. So because of high school girl drama, we no longer have
her as an investigator.... That was rather frustrating, but we'll see
what happens.
That's all I have for this week! Love you all!

Great week!
Really sweet story! A member who we helped start to come back to
church invited her friend to meet with us. Now her friend wants to get
baptized! It's so awesome when members do missionary work!
Sorry this is so short but I'm running short on time. I love you all
and thank you for the support!

Story time...
It has been a great week! We have yet another person on date to be baptized! The work is progressing and it's extremely exciting to be a part of it! We hit the Standards of Excellence as a companionship again this week! Story time. This story is from a while back. I've been saving it for a time after the situation has been defused. This happened about 2-3 months ago. Elder Burbank and I were going down one of our main roads on our bikes. We heard a loud noise and I saw something hit the wall directly in front of my handlebars. I looked up to where the noise had come from. I saw a man hanging out of a car window with a handgun. He yelled some obscene things at us as the driver sped away. So we got shot at. Nothing has happened since then but it was kind of a crazy experience. 2 Nephi 2:25 "Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy." We're here to experience joy, so enjoy life! Don't let your mind become preoccupied with thoughts that bring you down. It's not worth it! I love you all and hope you have a great week! -Elder Toph Tribe
This is my sorry I didn't take any photos this week face
This is what Toph sent me before he sent the blog post.
Mom,
You're not allowed to freak out about my story. The mission president knows about it and it's in the past. I'm fine and the situation is over. I'm safe and protected by the Lord. -Elder Toph Tribe

Short one this week
I think this week I'm going to keep it short. One reason being that
we're in a heated game of Settlers of Catan...
Well this week has been great! We had a mission wide conference where
everyone got together to talk about our iPads. The meeting went well
and it was great to see all of the Elders I've gotten to know since
I've been out that have been transferred else where.
Elder Peterson and I put 4 people on date to be baptized! We hit what
is known as the Standards of Excellence this week which is great! We
have it planned and our work ethic is at the point where we can hit it
every week and even go higher than the standard! We're doing great
work and it's exciting to be apart of!
That's all I have for this week. Love you all and hope you have a terrific week!

Eric was baptized this week!
I sit here and contemplate my week thinking of what actually happened. It`s crazy to think about how much has truly happened in a week. One week as a missionary has the spiritual experiences of 1 year of being a normal teenager. Yet the week blows by in a flash. I had another baptism this Friday! His name is Eric and he was a total boarder bum in SLC until he got married. We talk about snowboarding a lot and it is nice to talk to someone who knows what snow isHe asked me to baptize him. It was an amazing experience. He is a chill guy and not much gets to him, but when he came up out of the water he was crying and gave me a big hug. It was incredible!! It seriously makes all of this worth it. I love this!! I met a homeless man who told me he legally changed his name to `Rich in the Spirit`. He was super nice and we chatted for a bit. He`s suffered addiction problems and he`s dealing with a lot of inner demons. He`s trying his hardest to get out of that life style though. It was rather inspiring to see a man who`s been beaten down by the world have this fire to change and become better. We said a prayer with him and he was very grateful. One of my best experience with the homeless people around here! I LOVING BENG A MISSIONARY! I would love to hear for you guys about how your lives are going. So if you find a free minute in your week, send me an email! Christopher.Tribe@myldsmail.net I love you all!! Have a great week! -Elder Toph Tribe
